PAUL VOLKER SPEECH

Paul Volcker gave a speech on February, 11, 2009 in Toronto, as part of the Speakers Series of the privately-organized Grano Salon, a prestigious Canadian venue. Since Mr. Volcker is wise enough not to engage into specific predictions, I refer the reader to my recent paper, "The Economic Alphabet Game", for a summary of my current views (ALPHABET_GAME - 2/15/2009). Certainly, I hope many in government share Mr. Volcker's views of how we got here; it would greatly help us sort out the Alphabet Game. Here is his speech in full:
